Important text and library book return information
When are textbooks due back?
Textbook return is scheduled by teacher to ensure that books are not returned before the teacher is done using them for homework assignments. The 2014-15 schedule is as follows:
Library Textbook Return Schedule
Wednesday, May 13
Thursday, May 14
Friday, May 15
Monday, May 18
Tuesday, May 19
Thursday, May 21
Friday, May 22
May I bring textbooks back before the day scheduled by my teacher?
Textbook return is scheduled by teacher to ensure that books are not returned before the teacher is done using them for homework assignments or exams. Books should not be brought in before the date selected by each teacher.
What do I do if I forgot to return my book with my class?
If you forgot to return your book on the day your class was scheduled, you may only return your textbooks to the library before or after school. Books should not be turned in to the front office or to the teacher's classroom as the books must be inspected by Mrs. Hester and cleared individually. Please be advised that the lines before and after school can grow quite long so it is best to return books during your scheduled class time.
When should I return my library books?
Library books, including class novels, may be returned to the book drop at any time, but no later than May 26th.
What happens if I lost a book or it was damaged?
Families are required to pay for all lost or damaged items. Please see Mrs. Hester as soon as you realize something is lost or damaged so that she can let you know what you must pay.
When should I clear all obligations?
Don’t wait until the last day of school to clear your obligations! Students who have not cleared their library obligations by May 26th may not have their yearbook in their first period class on the last day of school and will instead need to be cleared by Mrs. Hester individually.
How can I check to see if I owe text or library books or fees?
You can access your account by logging in to the library catalog, located on the library resources page. Your patron ID is your student ID number. Students who have not yet accessed their account have a temporary password of titan. Click on the tabs “Loan” and “Fines” to view your information. This is also a good time to change your password to something secure if you haven't already done so.
